EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 9: Organised in association with Sprawling Buds School, Chinore (Bantalab) by Rakwal Taekwondo Club, the IV Invitational Taekwondo Championship concluded at the school premises here. Over 230 young boys and girls drawn from different schools participated in this competition.
In the day-long competition a number of interesting bouts took place which attracted the attention of those experts of the game present during final bouts in upper weight groups.
In the concluding function, president J&K Taekwondo Association, P C Sharma was chief guest, who gave away medals and certificates to the winners of different weight groups. General Secretary of the Association, D N Pangotra, Principal, Sprawling Buds School, Pooja Sharma and senior vice-president of Tawi Trekkers, O P Padha were guests of honour, who also gave away medals.
Prominent among others present were general secretary Tawi Trekkers, Ram Khajuria, Ramesh Khajuria, Aarti Sharma, Savita Khajuria and Rahul Sharma (all directors of Sprawling Buds School).
Atul Pangotra NIS qualified in Taekwondo was observer in the competition. The championship was organized under the supervision of Gurinder Rakwal, president of Rakwal Taekwondo Club.
