Azad advises students to pursue education with a mission
Appreciates BGSB University for completing hostel complex under triple shift a head of time

Rajouri, September 13 - Emphasizing on developing broad vision in students through well planned system of education, Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad has called for imparting high quality and purposeful education making students self-reliant and confident to face any challenge. He was addressing students and faculty members after inaugurating staff quarter complex and a hostel at the campus of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University at Dhanore here today.
He congratulated the executing agency for completing the construction work under triple shift launched in the camps under his suggestion, which he said has positively resulted and the hostel-cum-staff quarter complex alongwith scholars home has been completed a head of time. The construction of residential staff quarter complex and scholar home has been completed by the management of the University in a record time of 100 days resorting to the double shift system of the working.
He advised youth to pursue studies with a mission devoid of petty considerations and prove their mettle in every field.“Students nowadays only aim at seeking government job without realizing the real purpose of education and educational institutions churn out a big lot of unemployed and unskilled annually who hanker after government jobs resulting frustration among the educated youth”. This system has to be replaced by such a viable and competent education imparting mechanism as would make the students worthy of getting available remunerative job in the market, Chief Minister said.
“A system of education is required to get in place in the state that would be instrumental of producing educated and skilled youth who would prove to be job givers and not to seekers”, Chief Minister maintained.
Stressing on diversifying education system Chief Minister said the pressing need of time is to remove taboos held by the people regarding working in agriculture, horticulture, industrial, labor sectors so that an educated person gets ample opportunity to get employment not only for himself but give to others. A well learned person in agriculture can earn dignified livelihood by adopting modern farm practices which are for more remunerative than ordinary government jobs, he added.
Clarifying that it isn’t possible for government to provide jobs to each and every educated person the Chief Minister advised the youth to seek alternate avenues of employment in trade, business, labor and other sectors.
Among others Minister for Health and Medical Education, Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma, Vice Chairman Pahari Advisory Board Shabir Khan, Director Information Khawaja Farooq Ahmed Ranzu,, District Development Commissioner Parvez Malik accompanied the Chief Minister.
