JAMMU, Nov 18: In its action against drug dealings and to neutralized the activities of drug peddlers within the district, Kathua Police today seized approx. 9.9 grams of Heroin (Chitta) narcotics, two mobiles and cash amount of Rs. 5,000 from Goond Naka of Nagri Parole area, two persons were arrested and one motorcycle along with narcotics were seized on spot. A police team led by Inspector Rajesh Kumar, IC PP Nagri Parole during naka checking duty at Goond area noticed one suspicious vehicle (motorcycle) bearing registration number PB35AG-2601 en-route from Punjab side towards Kathua who was asked to stop for checking. On thorough checking one black pouch containing approx. 9.9 grams of Heroin (chitta) narcotics, one purse, two mobile phones along with cash amount of Rs. 5,000 were recovered from the possession of Sunny Kumar S/o Kaka Ram R/o Taragarh Tehsil and District Pathankot and his accomplice namely Dalbir Singh S/o Baldev Singh R/o Digiana Camp Jammu A/P Ward No 16 Kalibari Kathua.
On this a case vide FIR No. 490/2021 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kathua. Further investigation is underway. |
