Sidhu Again
11/21/2021 10:18:26 PM
Former cricketer turned politician and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has once again called Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan his “elder brother.” Him calling Khan as his elder brother again has drawn flak from various quarters.
Taking to Twitter, BJP spokesperson Amit Malviya, said, “Rahul Gandhi’s favourite Navjot Singh Sidhu calls Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan his “bada bhai”. Last time he had hugged Gen Bajwa, Pakistan Army’s Chief, heaped praises. Is it any surprise that the Gandhi siblings chose a Pakistan loving Sidhu over veteran Amarinder Singh?”
It’s not only the BJP leaders whom Sidhu has annoyed, every nationalist person across the country is angry with him. The question which everyone wants Sidhu to answer is that how can he term the Prime Minister of a country sponsoring terror, his elder brother. Sidhu should realize that borders are being used as drug routes and Pakistan is a hub of terrorism.
Leaders like Sidhu should understand that Pakistan has been bleeding India for long and leaves no opportunity to foment trouble. Had the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led regime not changed India’s policy towards terror and terrorism, Pakistan by now would have carried out many more terror attacks. Surgical strikes and Balakot airstrikes tamed Pakistan to some extent but even as on date it has not changed its tactics and continues to support terrorists and promoting terrorism is a part of its state’s policy.
Someone needs to tell Sidhu that despite India and Pakistan armies maintaining ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC), the neighbouring country has not mend its ways and continues to send ultras and drugs into Jammu and Kashmir. There were reports that Pakistan has utilized the ceasefire time to rebuild the terror infrastructure across the LoC. Launch pads are full and ultras are waiting to cross over into Jammu and Kashmir.
Sidhu should understand that praising Pakistan Prime Minister tantamounts to encouraging the enemy to carry on with its nefarious plans and designs. He should understand that he is not playing cricket anymore. He represents a national party i.e. Congress which has ruled India after independence for the longest period. The Congress high command needs to break its silence over the utterances made by Sidhu and should explain whether it also considers Imran Khan as his elder brother or it’s his personal view.
