Rana terms repeal of farm laws, reopening of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor as bold initiatives

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 21: Attributing the announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to repeal the three farm laws to his unflinching faith in democracy, BJP leader and former legislator Devender Singh Rana today said that Modi has emerged as a democrat-statesman who keeps the nation first.
"The nation is proud of the sagacious political stand taken by the Prime Minister in the interest of the nation and for satiating the urges of farmers", Rana said while addressing Sangat at Gurdwara Yadgar Lt. Gen (Retired) Bikram Singh at Bikram Chowk, Jammu, held in commemoration of the Gurupurab.
Rana also hailed the opening of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor to enable a huge number of devotees to pay obeisance at the revered Gurdwara, notwithstanding the cowardice of the neighbouring nation which has inflicted many scars on Indian psyche by being a corroborator in the most inhuman acts.
"It was only appropriate to reopen the corridor on the Prakash Parw of Guru Nanak Devji, apostle of peace, harmony, social justice and equality," said Rana. He greeted the Sangat and exuded confidence that such occasions would be observed in the true spirit of amity and brotherhood. He lauded the valour of Sikhs, saying their bravery and sacrifices towards the nation will always remain a source of inspiration for generations.
Rana said the best way of celebrating festivals is to take a pledge to follow the path of righteousness in letter and spirit and work for building a society based on the natural principles of social justice, equality, compassion, love and togetherness. The management presented Saropa to Rana on the occasion.
