| Cooperative awareness camp organized at Makerkote | | |
DODA, SEPTEMBER 13 - One day cooperative awareness camp was organized at Makerkote of block Ukharhal in Doda district in which a number of prominent citizens, panchs, sarpanchs, cooperators and farmers of Banihal, Ukharhal and Ramban blocks participated. The camp was presided over by Chairman Cooperative Marketing Society Ltd, Banihal, Mr. Gh. Akber Malik.
Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies (Agri) Doda said on the occasion and apprised the public about poultry, dairy cooperatives under NCDC and venture capital and L.P. Gas under NABARD schemes. He stressed the farmers for enrolment as member in the societies and to avail maximum benefit of the schemes available with the department.
District Audit Officer, Cooperative Societies also spoke regarding Vedyamanthan Committee recommendations.
Sarpanchs and cooperators also spoke on the occasion and gave their valuable suggestions.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gh. Akber Malik stressed for organizing dairy and poultry cooperatives and opening of fair price medical shops and consumer stores as well as enhancement of kerosene oil quota.
