EARLY TIMES REPORT KARGIL, Nov 10: A two days training for presiding and polling officers on electronic voting machine (EVM) concluded here today. Nearly 834 Government employees of Kargil and Zanskar Assembly Constituency were imparted training in handling of EVM apparatus. The training was conducted under the supervision of Ghulam Mohd Lone, Mohd Iqbal and Ghulam Raza, zonal education officers, Tiasuru, Kargil and Drass and Veterinary Assistant Suregon, Iftikhar Hussain. Meanwhile election observers for Kargil assembly constituency P.C Dhiman and observer for Zanskar assembly constituency S.N Triparthi conducted extensive tour of different polling stations of Sub-Division Drass which includes Matayan, Pandrs, Mushku, Holiyal, Bhimbet, Fraw and Rambirpure. Interacting with the officers, they asked them to ensure strict implementation of model code of conduct in their jurisdiction. The district election officer, Satesh Nehru said transports, Communication, security, besides election material plan have already been formulated for ensuing Assembly elections on November 17 in the first phase. |
