EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 10: The National Conference candidate for Gandhinagar constituency T.S. Wazir extensively toured various areas of the constituency in connection with the election campaign. Accompanied by workers he addressed public meetings at Chatha Pind, Bhour Camp, Bhour Pind and Digiana. Addressing the people Wazir exhorted them to support NC and vote in its favour in ensuing elections. He recalled the people of the achievements of the NC during its rule and spoke about the shortcomings of other parties which ruled the state resulting into a thaw in the progress and development of the state. If the NC is voted to power, he said, it will take necessary steps to solve the problems like unemployment, construction of reads, solution of electric scarcity, stabilizing the public transport system, streamlining the system of education and above all the outstanding problems of refugees of 1947 (POK), and regularization of various Basties on the analogy of Nanak Nagar. Various prominent persons who also spoke in these public meetings were Rajesh Bakshi, Suresh Sagar, Dalip Singh, Mela Singh, Faqir Singh (Dharap), Mohinder Singh, Capt. Hazara Singh, Surat Singh, Baldev Singh, Kishore Kumar, Capt. Makhan Singh, Roop Singh, Jasbir Singh, Paramjeet Kour, Avtar Singh Risam and Devider Singh Vishavnagrik. |
