| Sewa organizes eye camp at Village Marlian | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 10: The founder Chairman-cum-President “SEWA” – National Social Service Organization in collaboration with ASCOMS organized a free medical check-up cum Free Eye Operation camp on the eve of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji birthday at Maralian, Miran Sahib, and R.S. Pura today.
The Director Health Services S. Jasbir Singh inaugurated the camp alongwith the company of Dr. Surinder Singh Sudan, Director Medical, ASCOMS and Dr. Poonam Dhawan, Director – Adult Education and Counselling, University of Jammu alongwith other prominent officers and citizens of R.S Pura.
In the camp, 500 patients were examined and screened for operation at ASCOMS. All the V.I.P’s appreciated the performances and way of organizing the camps by “SEWA” – NSSO and expressed hope that the organization will go ahead with more such camps for the benefit of the needy, poor, deserving, downtrodden masses of the nation irrespective of any caste, creed, colour or religion.
Checkup and free medicines were provided to the patients mostly to aged persons. S. Raghubir Singh Khajuria, Chairman of the organization, thanked the V.I.P’s and others for their participation. Every one was served with lunch on the occasion. |
