| Engineers point out chaos | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 10: A coordination committee of mechanical, civil and electrical engineers both degree and diploma holders today met Chief engineer of PHE department and asked him to cancel the order No. 4474-76 dated Oct 7, 2008. As per press release the order has marked the jurisdiction of mechanical engineer with non-mechanical engineer which has created chaos and confusion among the qualified engineers. In a threadbare discussion with Chief Engineer V.K Abrol Er. Ashok Singh Choudhary, Vice Chairman (Mech.) of Coordination Committee of engineers said that Govt. order No. 21 PW of 1997 dt. 14.1.97 and PHE Deptt. Srinagar order No. 128 of 1999 dt. 5.4.99 may be implemented in letter and spirit in Jammu also to avoid any confusion among Engineering Community otherwise the coordination committee will be left with no option to adopt agitational path. Abrol listened the deputationist patiently and assured for implementation of the Chief Engineers’s PHE Srinagar order in its true letter and spirit in Jammu. Prominent among those who attended the meeting included Er. Chander Sheikhar, Er. Sunil Abrol, Er. T.R Sharma, Er. Ravinder Krandu, Er. Narinder Singh, Er. Daljeet Singh, Er. Naveen Sharma, Er. Amrish Dutta, Er. Anil Bhakri, Er. Rajesh Verma and Er. Shamsher Ali. |
