| Prosecutrix sent to court Nari-Nektan without security | | Court directs CPO to conduct enquiry | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 10: Taking serious note about the appearance of prosecutric, facing trial in a rape case, from Nariniketan without any direction from the court and without security, the 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Sanjay Gupta directed Chief Prosecuting Officer to conduct an enquiry with regard to sending of prosecutrix by Incharge Nari-Niketan without any order and proper security and also refusal of Munshi of Police Station. The enquiry shall be completed within a period of 15 days and the report be submitted to the Court for further orders. Today when a case of kidnapping and rape of a minor girl came before the Court for hearing, the accused was not present as he was in the judicial custody. Superintendent Jail reported that due to non-availability of escort accused could not be produced before the Court and upon this Court fixed December 3, 2008 for hearing of the case. After passing this order, prosecutrix who was sent to Nari Niketan by the order of CJM Jammu on May 13, 2008 during investigation appeared in the court with out any security. Taking serious notice of this lapse, the Court further said that it is a matter of serious nature that no one was accompanying with the prosecutrix; even APP stated that no docket for production of prosecutrix was issued for today. As per challan prosecutrix is a minor and had come in the Court without accompanying any official personnel of Nari-Niketan. Taking serious note of the working of the Incharge Nari-Niketan, the Judge said that how Incharge Nari-Niketan relieved the prosecutrix is a matter of investigation and directed CPO for taking custody of the prosecutrix and sending her back Nari-Niketan in proper custody and also directed to conduct enquiry regarding the whole episode.
