| Women Sports meet held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 10: Organised by the J&K State Sports Council, the block level Women Sports Meet of Jammu block held in three disciplines of kho-kho, kabaddi and athletics at M A Stadium, here on November eight.
In kabaddi final, Shiva Club defeated Government Girls High School Nowabad. The kho-kho title went to Govt Higher Secondary School Nowabad, who beat Govt High School Reshamghar.
In athletics, Chandani of GHSS Nowabad bagged first place in 100 mts event while Poonam Verma and Anuradha of M A Stadium finished second and third respectively. First place in 200 mts went to Konica Chib of MA Stadium. Pooja of Resham Ghar and Gudiya of Nowabad remained second and third respectively. The 400 mts gold went to Prakirti Gupta of Nowabad and Mamta of Reshamghar finished second. Mousmi remained third.
Retired Assistant Commandant of Border Security Force (BSF) was chief guest, who gave away prizes to the winners and runners-up.
The competitions held under the supervision of Manager Stadium, Rajan Sharma. He was assisted in the events by Vikas Gupta, S S Gill, Sudesh Jamwal, Jyoti Sharma and Nancy Bhat. |
