Camps for Ayushman Bharat card, another ‘publicity stunt’
11/29/2021 11:07:22 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 29: Very much like other schemes, the announcement of the authorities to make Ayushman Bharat cards at the doorsteps of people is also proved as a “publicity stunt” because people are facing hardship in the camps organized by the authorities.
By pumping a huge amount from the government’s exchequer for publicity and advertisement, authorities have announced to set up camps at five places in Jammu city. It was announced that Ayushman Bharat cards under PM-JAY/ABPM-JAY-Sehat will be made in these camps because a special drive has been launched to cover the almost entire population under this scheme.
Despite spending lakhs of rupees on publicity, people are still facing hardship due to technical problems.
Without solving technical glitches, authorities have set up these camps just to give an impression that the incumbent government is working for the welfare of the people. People are complaining that officials deputed in the camps are not making cards of children due to technical issues. Most of the people who went to these camps to add their children were asked that they have to update the biometric fingerprints of their children in their Aadhar cards.
The Aadhaar cards of these children were made some time back and now these children have grown and their biometric fingerprints are not matching with Aadhar cards.
Instead of simplifying the process of making Ayushman Bharat cards, authorities are following the same cumbersome process so people are facing hardship.
