However, in J&K unemployment rate has increased, in 2017 J&K’s unemployment rate stood at 5.4%, in 2018-19 it was 5.1% but in 2019-20 it has reached 6.7% and these figures were dished out by the government in Lok Sabha.
Similarly when PM Kaushal Yojana was launched for the empowerment of women in J&K in 2018-19, according to the government figures, 17332 females were trained and 10,000 were placed. In 2019-20, 51000 women were trained but only 5841 were placed.
In 2020-21, 23000 females were trained and only 3287 were placed. In 2020-21, 565 females were trained and placement was zero.
