Early Times Report

Sunderbani, Dec 1: For no apparent reasons, Junior Engineer Nalamakol Panchayat appears to be reluctant to release payment for the work already completed, despite passage of two long years.
According to aggrieved contractors, the Junior Engineer is not listening to their pleas despite completion of work in stipulated time. “We are not asking for any payment for the incomplete work, but for the work already completed,” said aggrieved, adding that Junior Engineer has allegedly released payment for the works which are not even visible on the ground.
Aggrieved contractors also stated that they are even ready to co-operate for physical verification of the works they have done.
“Many projects in different wards have already been completed, but Junior Engineer is not ready to make bills,” said aggrieved contractors, adding that they have already appealed before BDO and concerned authorities. A local, Rajinder Kumar said that he has written to Lieutenant Governor’s Cell in this regard.
Talking to Early Times, ACD Rajouri Sushil Khajuria said that an enquiry in this regard is on cards and can be initiated anytime.
Despite repeated attempts the Junior Engineer could not be contacted.
