Numberdars, Chowkidars deputation met Charak

EARLY TIMES REPORT
BISHNAH, Nov 11: A delegation of nearly 200 Numberdars and Chowkidars of the Tehsil met MLC, Gulchain Singh Charak and apprised him about the pertinent problems being faced by them and requested for their early redressal.
The main demands was to release of their honourarium on regular basis along with arrears, issue of identity cards and uniforms to the Chowkidars and implementation of government order regarding delegation of powers to them.
In addition to these problems, they also raised issues like compensation for the damaged paddy crops of farmers due to recent heavy rainfall and hailstorm. Transport facilities to various villages’ regular supply of electricity, supply of fertilizers/ seeds etc well in time.
Charak after giving patient hearing to the deputation assured them that he would be taking these genuine issues with the concerned authorities for their redressal. He also appealed to the Governor N.N Vohra to implement the decision taken by the previous Government for these institutions at the earliest.
