| Business School organizes interaction session of MBA students | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 11: To give exposure to the budding students pursuing MBA from University of Jammu, the Business School (TBS) of the University today organized their interaction session with Vikas Shah, Chief Executive Officer the Big Picture Mumbai who is also the alumni of TBS and presently the member of its governing board. Shah in his interaction session with the students discussed about the changing scenario of the entertainment industry and also discussed its various strategic aspects. He said that the boundaries and basic contours are becoming blurred and the new industry that is emerging is the ‘infotainment’ industry. Focusing on the software companies, Shah said, ‘these companies have a large brand equity and huge market capitalization but a very small asset base or infrastructure because of high involvement of human mind. He urged upon the students to explore opportunities in knowledge based industries and acquire competencies that meet the requirements of the future industrial sectors. Prof. Keshav Sharma, Director TBS in his welcome address said that TBS under the visionary leadership of Prof Amitabh Matoo, VC University of Jammu is constantly striving towards implementing new initiatives in the Business School. The session was organized by the placement cell of the Business School. |
