| LoK-Adalat, LAA awareness camp held at Ramban | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 11: Lok-Adalat-cum-legal aid awareness camp was held in the Court Complex Ramban to commemorate the legal services day which was presided over Principal District and& Sessions Judge Ramban RS Jain who is also the Chairman District Legal Service Authority. He was assisted by Deepak Sethi Chairman Tehsil Legal Service Authority, Ashok Kumar Shavan Sub-Judge Batote and Amarjeet Singh Langeh Munsiff Ramban.
In the Lok-Adalat 23 cases including traffic challans were disposed off by negotiations, mediation and reconciliation and a fine Rs 11800 was imposed and realized on spot.
The Lok-Adalat cum Legal Awareness Camp was attended, besides the members of judiciary, members of Bar Association Ramban, Batote, prominent citizens, students of Higher Secondary School Ramban and the litigants and also participated. The purpose of holding the camp was to percolate the message of legal service to the general masses especially through the students. JNF |
