Fulfill SAYSS agreement: BJP to Govt
11/12/2008 11:16:14 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 12- Accusing the government of its failure in implementing the agreement reached between the government committee led by Dr. S S Bleoria and the SAYSS on August 31 last agreeing to withdraw all cases of compoundable and bailable nature, besides the PSA cases, the BJP today warned the government to withdraw all the cases immediately.
By not withdrawing cases against the innocents, government wants to negotiate and black-mail the Jammu people and wanted to compel them to withdraw of all cases filed by the public against them. By filing false, frivolous and fabricated applications by four senior Police officials against Justice O.P. Sharma Commission for staying the proceedings clearly reflects that the government officials represent the government and it is shameful that the officials who represent the government have filed applications against Commission knowingly well that the Commission has been constituted by the government. BJP will expose all such efforts in present election also and in case the government officials continued in the manner they are behaving, we will take a strong note by all means and after election we will see to it that nationalist movement and separatist movement are to be dealt by different yard sticks.
Government has tried to compare the cases of Jammu region with those of Kashmir Province is reflecting their bankruptcy. On one hand the people of Jammu has fought for unity and integrity of the state and country and on the other hand few people who have separatist tendencies and are anti-nationals cannot be equated with each other. The Jammu region has not forgotten that they have sacrificed lives and they were compelled due to unfortunate decision of Congress, PDP government. It is high time when people should vote against the forces which have played in the hands of few anti-national and separatists and are responsible for land issue, a BJP handout said.
