JAMMU, Nov 12: Kranti Dal president Anan Sharma today took serious note and criticized the action of custodian general of evacuee’s properties in harassing the poor tenants of these properties in one way or other to snatch the hard earned money of these tenants. He said the houses and shops which have been leased to the tenants are decades old and need repairs as tenant is not authorized to make any repairs without prior permission on the document. The system of prior permission to undertake any small repairs by the tenant is a strategy of the department to extrude the illegal gratification. He said the tenant who applies for permission of any repair work is not accorded the same in normal course unless and until he is completed to pay a handsome amount to the authorities at the helm of affairs. Sharma also took NC to the task that they dared to brought the resettlement bill to rehabilitate those who have crossed other side of the LoC but the locals are being harassed on the one pretext or the other. The refugees who had crossed this have been even deprived of the right of franchise in the elections of state assembly Sharma said that it is a deep rooted conspiracy to minimize the Hindu voter in Jammu. But the Kranti Dal will not tolerate it in any case, he said. |
