| Commerce College organizes lecture series on Cyber Security | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 9: Department of Computer Sciences Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, a Constituent College of Cluster University of Jammu, organized week long Series of Lecture on "Cyber Security and Cyber Laws".
This weekly series of lecture was a part of the initiative taken by the government to spread awareness about cyber-crimes and its consequences under the theme "Cyber Jagrukta (Awareness) Diwas''. It is a yearly action plan which has to be performed on a monthly basis and this series of lectures was planned for the month of December. The Series of lecture started with welcome address by Dr. Parveen Singh, HOD, BCA Department followed by a keynote address from the principal, Prof. RS Jamwal. Two eminent speakers Dr. Amit Kant Pandit, Associate Professor, School of Electronic and Communication Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and Dr. Ashok Sharma Assistant professor Department of Computer Sciences University of Jammu was invited., Dr. Amit Kant Pandit with 20 years of experience in academia with the publication of more than 60 research papers in reputed journals delivered a series of lectures on "Digital Literacy and Cyber Hygiene.” The lecture was conducted in three sessions and was attended by students of BCA, BBA and M.Com. Second series of lectures was delivered by Dr. Ashok Sharma, through online mode and he delivered the lecture on "Cyber Laws". The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Monika Mahajan, Assistant Professor, BCA Department. Dr. Anu Chaudhary Compared the program and Dr Sonam Gandotra managed the whole event. |
