| Batwal community urges VC, JU fulfill promise | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 12: The Association of Urban Batwal Community has appealed to the Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu Amitabh Mattoo to stand by his words of appointing R.L Kaith as assistant registrar (AR) of the University.
Members of the community said that Prof. Mattoo speaking on the occasion of annual function held on May 1, this year, had publicly announced that Kaith will be appointed as A.R in the University within days. Members further said that association would be very grateful to the Vice Chancellor if he being the competent authority of the University decides Kaith’s long drawn case and fulfills his commitment of appointing him as Assistant Registrar.
Pertinent to mention that Kaith is a double post-graduate and has qualified for the post of Assistant Registrar.
Members also disclosed that the HRD Minister Arjun Singh and the UGC Chairman Prof. Satish Chadha have also written to the Vice Chancellor on the matter. |
