| Governor greets people on Gurupurab | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov12: Governor N N Vohra, has greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab, the birthday of Guru Nanak Devji.
Describing Guru Nanakji as an apostle of peace and tolerance, the Governor in a message said that his teachings would continue to inspire generations, leading them to the path of righteousness and brotherhood. He said that the great Guru strove all his life for social justice and equality and to bring about peace and harmony in the society.
Hoping that the Gurupurab will be celebrated with joy and fervour and in true traditions of our composite culture and, the Governor said the befitting way of celebrating such occasions is to further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and to rededicate ourselves to the purpose for which saints and sages have lived among us. |
