| Alexander, T.S school celebrates children’s day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 12: Alexander Memorial School, in collaboration with Jammu Young Men’s Christian Association celebrated Children’s day as Junior sports day for the students of UKG to 5th Primary here today by holding sports events and competition along with socio-economically weak children of Viraj Bal Bhawan School, Nagrota.
Director School Education Jammu Zahida P. Khan was the chief guest. Many distinguished persons including Raj Bharti, Principal, Viraj Bal Bhawan Nagrota, Rev. Sohan Lal, Chairman YMCA Jammu, S.M Gill, Vice Chairman YMCA I.D Soni, State Commissioner Scouts, Nasreen Khan, State Commissioner Guides and ZEO, Jammu Syed Masooda Malik were present during the function.
A number of students of Alexander School and Viraj Bal Bhawan School participated in the items; Lemon & Spoon Race, Needle & Thread Race, Sack Race, Three Legged Race, Frog Race and Shoe & Socks Race.
The chief guest in her address applauded the efforts of the school and the performance of the tiny tots. She encouraged them to sharpen their intellect to achieve better and higher standards both in academics as well as co-curricular activities.
The comparing of the programme was done by Anuradha Khonja & the vote of thanks was presented by Esther William, Principal, Alexander Memorial School, Jammu.
T. S Public School also celebrated children’s day with fervour and enthusiasm. On the occasion students of the school presented a cultural items which was highly appreciated by the audience present on the occasion.
The Euro-Kids of the school also presented a network of cultural-cum-physical activities. They participated in biscuit, balloon and musical chair race etc. chairperson of the school Pooja Malhotra wished good luck to students. |
