| VO challan against CCB officials | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 12: State Vigilance Organization has produced Challan against Muzaffar Ahmad Lala, Branch Manager, State Cooperative Bank, branch Kangan in the court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Kashmir, who was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.2000.
On a complaint filed by Maqbool Mir son of Mohammed Ramzan Mir resident of Bamalna Kangan alleging therein that Muzaffar Ahmad Lala, Branch Manager, State Cooperative Bank, branch Kangan was demanding illegal gratification for sanctioning a loan of Rs.50,000 in his favour, a case was registered and investigation taken up. In the course of investigation, officials of State Vigilance Organization proceeded to Kangan and the Branch Manager was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.2000 from the complainant. The tainted money was recovered from the possession of the Branch Manager in presence of the independent witnesses. The hand and pocket wash of the accused was conducted which tested positive.
After accord of sanction for prosecution by the Competent Authority the Challan was produced in the court of law today along with the accused Branch Manager. |
