| Kohli elected JKFA treasurer third time | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 12: Veteran footballer and promoter of the game, R K Kohli has been re-elected as treasurer of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, the elections for which held at Srinagar on November eight. Reposing faith in veteran footballer, the members of the Association voted Kholi to the post for third consecutive term. The members also retained president, Zamir Ahmed Thakur for second term. “Except for the general secretary, most of the office bearers of the central body have retained ther posts,” Kolhi told SAN. Former general secretary, S A Hamid has made a come back to the post replacing Bashir Malik. The Association also cleared the names of three direct members from Jammu. They are international footballer, Ramesh Dogra, NIS qualified and veteran player, David Masih and Mohan Lal. “After completing the elections of central body, now it is the turn of provincial bodies to elect new office bearers. Usually, one and half month time is given to those responsible for holding the elections at wing level, so hopefully, the new JKFA would be in place in the state by end of December,” Kohli informed. |
