Rehman demands financial help to accident victims

JAMMU, Nov 13: The State president of Samajwadi Party Sheikh Abdul Rehman has demanded immediate financial help to the kith and kin of those who lost their lives in a tragic road accident at Krara on Wednesday.
Expressing deep and shock over the road accident, which claimed about eleven lives and left fifteen others wounded, Sheikh said that the local administration especially traffic police should now wake up and take immediate measures to as to avoid such mishaps on the highway.
He demanded compensation of Rs five lakh to the kin of those who lost their lives and Rs one lakh to the injured passengers.
"No compensation can fulfill the loss of the families who lost their loved ones but financial assistance is required so to help the families to some extent", he said adding, "Local administration shall also take all possible steps to ensure that the injured passengers are given adequate medicare".
