| VHP furious over post-Malegaon arrests | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 13: State President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad has accused Congress led UPA government at the centre of playing vote bank politics and conspiring against religious leaders at the behest of anti national forces. Addressing a press conference here today, Dr Ramakant Dubey, while taking strong note of crack down on religious gurus, cautioned UPA government against playing with fire. At the same time he straightaway de-linked VHP and Bajrang Dal from Dayanand Pandey aka Swami Amaritananda of Sarvagyapeeth, a day after he was arrested in connection with Malegaon blast from Kanpur. VHP and Bajrang is not linked with swami Amaritanandaji, Dubey said warning centre not to defame religious gurus. "A religious guru should be accorded due respect and should not be harassed unnecessarily", Dubey remarked fuming with anger. Pointing accusing fingers towards Congress led UPA government Dr Ramakant Dubey said centre faced embarrassment over issues of Ramsetu and recent upsurge in Orissa and to divert attention they have started hunting down religious gurus of Hindus and portraying them as perpetrators of terror in this country. Dubey asked, " how many narco test analysis Sadhvi Pragya Singh is supposed to undertake, is their any limit or not". "Why centre is defaming men in uniform and not doing enough to tackle real threat of terrorism". He urged masses to stay united in times of crisis and appealed to the nationalist forces to defeat nefarious designs of foreign sponsored propaganda. |
