| Pak-born 'bikini girl' creates waves | | | B L KAK NEW DELHI, SEPT. 14: In the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, lawmakers have ben thrown into confusion, if not disorder. The reason: Mariyah Moten has begun to heavily weigh on their mind. The Pakistan-born American girl, Mariyah Moten, is not an ordinary girl, these days. Widely known as the 'bikini girl', Mariyah Moten, who recently entered a beauty contest claiming to represent Pakistan, continues to hit headlines in Pakistan. In the latest tack, she appears to have drawn attraction of several members of the Pakistan National Assembly. She featured in a discussion in the National Assembly the other day. Farid Piracha of MMA, speaking on a point of order, said that he had moved an adjournment motion to debate how the girl had come to claim to represent Pakistan, a move that had humiliated the entire country. To drive his point home, Piracha then proceeded to pass a picture of the bikini-clad 22-year-old to several of his colleagues. First in the queue were PML-N members, Pervez Malik and Raja Nadir Pervez. According to a media report from Islasmabad, Piracha and Malik were then seen smiling at the picture before exchanging comments. Then came the turn of MMA member, Qari Gul Rehman, who took the picture from Piracha. After having taken a deep look of Moten's picture, he let treasury member, Rehana Aleem Mashehdi, have a look, which she did and had a repeated glance more closely by wearing her glasses. Rehana, the media report said, passed the picture on to Amjad Warraich, who was sitting next to her. He then passed it back to Qari Gul Rehman, who returned it to Piracha. In the process, the members forgot for considerable time to debate on points of order relating to government-MMA deal on the protection of women's rights bill. ==================
