| Veterinary doctors appeals ECI to cancel election duty | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 14: A high level meeting of J&K Veterinary Doctors Association was held at Jammu under the chairmanship of Dr. M.T Krishan, President of the Association to discuss the resentment shown by the Veterinary Doctors against the election duties assigned to them in spite of the clear cut decision of the Election Commission of India for exemption from election duties vide no. 464/INST/2002-PLN-1 dated 23-04-2002 and which has been already endorsed by Deputy Chief Electoral Officer, Srinagar to all District Election Officers vide no. 1076/HP-INST/2002/1696-1710 dated 14-05-2002. The Association appealed Election Commission of India and Chief Electoral Officer, J&K State to cancel all the election duty orders of Veterinary Doctors failing which the Association shall be compelled to get stay of these orders from Hon’ble High Court. Those who attended the meeting are Dr. R.K Anand, Dr. Majid Malik, Dr. Mohd. Sajjad, Dr. Khem Raj, Dr. Chand Bakshi and other representatives, the release added. |
