EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 14: On the eve of children’s day to make the children aware of the Road Safety programmes, Motor Vehicles Department, Jammu in collaboration with Royal Driving School, Shastri Nagar Jammu organized a painting competition at Government Girls HS Gandhinagar Jammu. About 300 students from 25 institutions participated in the competition and highlighted their views about road safety. The students were divided into three groups comprising class Ist to 5th, class 6th to 8the and class 9th to 12th respectively. The students who won the prizes in the Ist group included Anmol Sharma of Shiksha Bhawan HSS Bakshinagar, Abhay Jamwal of Kendriya Vidayala No. I, Gandhinagar and Ilyas Latief of United Public High School, Ajitesh Chhibber of KV No.1 and Harshdeep of Shiksha Niketan HSS, Jeevan Nagar. Besides, in 2nd group Kumar Vasu of DBN Vidya Mandir, aman Ilans of KV No.1 Gandhinagar, Vivek Gupta of Dogra HSS, Miss Asma Wani of KB Public HSS Jammu, Abhinandan Trilokia of Shiksha Niketan HS Gandhinagar, and Sonali Pandita of Shiksha Niketan HSS won the prizes. Similarly, in 3rd group Miss Ranjit Kour of Shiksha Niketan HSS Jeevan Nagar, Deepak Singh of Dogra HSS Shastrinagar, Bharat Sharma of KV No.1 Gandhinagar, Mehak of Dogra HSS, Bhawna Kumari of Government Girls HS City Chowk and Sheetal Sharma of Shiksha Niketan HSS, Jeewan Nagar bagged first, second and third position besides consolation prizes. Transport Commissioner, Mr M K Mohanty presided over the programme. |
