Militancy victims paid Rs 39.75 lacs ex-gratia in south Kashmir

The Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 39.75 lacs as ex-gratia for militancy affected families in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.

An official spokesman said the District Screening Committee (DSC) Anantnag took up militancy related cases of the district.

He said after discussing each case, the DSC headed by District Magistrate G A Peer sanctioned ex-gratia relief of Rs 39.75 lakh in favour of 45 militancy afected families.

The relief includes Rs 31 lakh for 31 death cases, Rs 2.25 lakhs and Rs 6.50 lakhs for three injured and 11 property damaged cases respectively.
