| 30th J&K table tennis championship begins | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 14: The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Mr Sudhanshu Pandey inaugurated 6-day long 30th J&K Table Tennis Championship at M A Indoor Sports Stadium Jammu this evening.
About 200 players from various districts of J&K are participating.
Interacting with the players, Divisional Commissioner said that youth should give due importance to the sports alongwith studies for their multifaceted growth. He said that sports and games were essential to build the capabilities of the youth and refashion these latent qualities. He said the sports also cement the bonds of love, unity and mutual understanding and add to the social unification.
Mr Pandey asked the youth to expose themselves to the competitive events in sports and games and try to excel at state and national level. He said that creation of sports related infrastructure was a must to encourage the sportsmen. |
