POONCH, Dec 30: District Level Committee on Forest Rights Act today cleared 27 claims here at its meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Inder Jeet.
The Dc also reviewed the proceeding/disposal of FRA claims at SDLCs/ FRC level.
The committee approved the all the claims put before it after thorough scrutiny extending community forest rights benefits to 89 souls.
The meeting was apprised that a total of 157 claims have been approved till date providing community forest rights benefits to 571 persons.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed the SDLCs to expedite the disposal of FRA claims pending at their level. He further directed to provide full support to FRCs for disposal of the pending cases within one week.
The meeting was attended by DDC Member Mendhar A, Mian Farooq Ahmed; DDC Member, Surankote B, Shah Nawaz Chowdhary; Divisional Forest Officer(T), Suresh Manda; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Shafiq Mir; District Tribal Welfare Officer, Shakeel Ahmed Malik; Headquarter Assistant, Jahangir Hussain, besides other concerned officers. |
