Accusing National Conference of institutionalizing corruption and nepotism, Mufti said his regime of three years was marked by unprecedented transparency and efficiency in administration. "During our government we appointed as many as 60,000 teachers and all appointments were made in transparent manner".
He reminded that even appointment orders were handed over to the candidates at their door steps to bring transparency. "Not even a single candidate was appointed without merit", he asserted, "our party cadre got annoyed as appointments were without any influence and only genuine and deserving candidates were selected".
Exhorting the people to give Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) absolute majority in the on-going electoral battle, former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayed today said that his party is seeking mandate of the people to take the on-going peace process to the logical conclusion.

"Jammu and Kashmir should become a model among the SAARC countries by allowing both Indian and Pakistani currency to operate in the state", he said and strongly defended his suggestions by quoting statement of traders of both sides of Kashmir who have also given such suggestions.
