| Senior wanted to get me murdered: trooper | | | Sumit Sharma
Jammu, Nov 15: A trooper of Central Reserve Police Force was today shifted to the Government Medical College here after he survived an attack on his life by a colleague in a city hotel. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against Havaldar Somnath Dubey who allegedly slit the throat of Jawan Rajudhar in room of a hotel known as Shanker Hotel in the City last night. Raju, who survived the attack, however, alleges that his senior officer hatched a conspiracy against him Depubey was assigned to execute his ‘murder’. Jawan Rajudhar of CRPF 38 Battalion was on leave since November 11 and was supposed to be on way to Calcutta to attend his sister’s wedding slated for November 20. Posted at Samailpur, Baribrahmana, Rajudhar resident of Calcutta, narrating his incident told Early Times that he was going to his home on two months leave to attend the wedding of his younger sister which is being solemnized in the coming November 20. he said that for the purpose he had purchased some jewellery and other articles. Since his train ticket was confirmed for November 14 therefore he put himself up in hotel where he received phone call by his colleague identified as Haveldhar Somnath Dubey who is also a runner of the Commandant of the battalion in which he urged him to meet and sought his position and after few minutes he came to his room. He while gossiping him took out a dagger and started slitting his throat. He somehow managed to escape and the accused was caught by the waiters of the hotel. Trikuta Nagar police after registering case rushed him to GMC hospital where he received seven stitches on her neck. He said that now his bag is in the possession of CRPF and his companions are giving him threatening calls of dire consequences and if he goes back he alleged he will become subject of harassment and if he goes to his home without bag then how he will solemnize his sister marriage, how he fulfill the expectations of his family members. A senior police officer when contacted said that a case under section 307 has been registered against the accused and during interrogation he told police that he had personal grudge against the Rajudhar and he was looking for the opportune time to kill him, but Rajudhar alleged that his senior officers wanted to kill him. Pertinent to mention here that similar type of incidents force jawans to commit suicide on duty.
