| JU B-School holds interactive session | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 15- The Business School (TBS), University of Jammu in collaboration with the Employment Information-cum -Advisory Bureau, Centre for Adult / Continuing Education and Extension (CACE&E), University of Jammu organized an interactive session on “A Look at Nike’s success through its history”. The lecture was delivered by Sanjay Mehra, General Manager, Kids Business for Nike Asia Pacific & Director, Strategic Planning delivered lecture. The session was attended by Faculty Members, Research Scholars and staff of TBS, Kathua Campus and the CACE&E.
Prof. Keshav Sharma, Director, TBS in his welcome address appreciated the maiden collaborative effort and added that TBS shall further give shape to the contours laid down by the visionary leadership and stewardship of Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu. He stressed upon the power of working with cooperation and collaboration to create synergies benefiting the Institution.
Mehra in his presentation highlighted the key strategic milestones of Nike making it a Global Corporation today. He said that Nike believes in communicating in a way that inspires its consumers – through athletes and products. Further highlighting the foundation pillars of Nike is its mission statement of “providing inspiration and innovation to every athlete* in the world”. (If you have a body, you are an athlete).
Prof. J R Dhotra, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, in his remarks said that through this interaction, the students have been able to appreciate the various concepts and intricacies of Management. He urged upon the students to take the maximum mileage out of such interactions.
Prof. Poonam Dhawan, Director, CACE&E in her address said that such interactions provide a valuable source of inspiration to the students by sowing the seeds of dreaming big and contributing to the organization they serve in.
