| Drakshan says visited ‘vulnerable’ areas | | |
Jammu, Nov 14: Socialistic Democratic Party President Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today concluded her two day electioneering visit to different areas of Poonch constituency where Party leader Sardar Gursagar Singh is contesting elections.
Dr Darakhshan visited many far off and security vise very vulnerable and risky border areas and today afternoon she lambasted the state administration and the security bosses for ignoring her safety and allowing her to be killed. She was talking to some press and media men in Poonch before leaving for Jammu.
Dr Darakhshan said that state police authorities are exhibiting bias towards me for no reasons known to me. She said that she has been crying and requesting for my security for the last five years but the state police and the state government has been obeying somebody's dictates probably for me to be annihilated. She said that despite many requests a vehicle has not been allotted to me and not a permanent escort so far so that should not be in a position to carry on with my nationalistic political agenda. Now when this government fails to provide me the proper security and escort to the disturbed area like Poonch despite written requests at at least six levels of the concerned people, how can I believe that they have not fixed the elections. When me and my party candidates are discrimininated during elections at the cost of our lives, how can we believe in the partiality of the Election Commission and that government. When the police chief speaks of providing security to all political leaders probably he may be talking of his favourites or the anti- nationals who are over preotected and this impotent administration ignores nationalists and talks of free and fair elections.
