| Azad asks coalition leaders not to claim creation of new district, tehsil HQs | | | Srinagar, July 10: Calling upon the coalition leaders not to enter into any competition for taking the credit of creating new districts and tehsil, Chief Minister Gh.Nabi Azad after laying foundation stone of Mega Rangil Water Supply Project at Pandach said said ‘votes on which votes were sought are implemented in letter and spirit in the form of Common Minimum Program of the Coalition Government”. Responding to the demand for including Safapora in Ganderbal district,Azad said ‘these types of demands are emerging from different parts of the state and for this purposes a commission is being constituted which will ear mark jurisdictions of districts, and tehsil. It will visit entire state and submit its report to the Government within six months’. Announcing that 550 high priority projects of greater public importance are being executed in the state under double shift scheme and some of these even under triple shift, Azad referred to Bharat Nirman Program, National Urban Renewal Mission and Asian Development funding. Among others present on the occasion include Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beig, Minster for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Qazi Mohd Afzal, Chief Executive Economic Reconstruction Agency Vijay Bakaya and Divisional Commissioner (Kashmir) Basharat Ahmed. |
