| USIEF organizes outreach program in SMVD University | | VC for international exposure for the students | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATRA, Nov 17: To commemorate the 9th annual International Education Week (IEW) Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, in association with United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), the Fulbright Commission in India, organized an outreach program on ‘Seeking admission in U.S. Universities” and “Obtaining Fulbright Fellowships” at the University campus at Katra today.
Vice Chancellor Prof. N.K.Bansal in his inaugural address asked the students and faculty members to make use of this opportunity to get an insight into various opportunities that are offered by USIEF for higher studies and research in US Universities. He said that time has come for us to explore possibilities to train our students at international levels and this outreach program and similar activities should be our focus in future. The University has students from 20 states of the country. He was appreciative of the keen interest that has been shown by USIEF in SMVDU.
Dr. Sudarsan Dash and Shevanti Narayan from USIEF, Delhi talked about study and fellowships opportunities which are available in a wide range of disciplines for researchers, professionals, faculty members and also for students. |
