| BJP offices in Jammu East, West inaugurated | | Condemns dragging Gen Sinha into controversy | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 17: BJP State President Ashok Khajuria, accompanied by former Union Minister Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, veteran leader Bhagwat Swaroop and Purani Mandi Mandir Mahant Rameshwar Dass, today inaugurated party’s Office for Jammu East constituency for the ensuing assembly elections. Earlier, these leaders took part in the havan performed at Purani Mandi. Hundreds of party activists and prominent citizens of the constituency attended the inaugural ceremony. Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta and Bhagwat Swaroop also inaugurated party office for the Jammu West assembly constituency at Talab Tillo. Prof. Gupta and Khajuria in their addresses at these places said with one voice, that BJP stands for the people and have raised different demands including permanent settlement of West Pakistani Refugees, abolishing the Act under which Custodian Department is working and allocation of houses and land to the tenants. They expressed the hope that people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the Jammuties will not allow their vote to get divided and vote in favour of BJP. They condemned the attempts to drag the former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) SK Sinha into controversy by PDP leaders terming it as frustrated effort to malign and lower-down the dignity of the institution of the Governor. The BJP leaders urged the people to return the party candidates in the assembly so that a people and nation-centric government is installed in the state. Shamsher Singh Manhas, Sat Sharma Balbir Ram, Ashwani Bali, Onkar Sethi, Chander Mohan Sharma, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Parmodh Kapahi Rajesh Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Dinesh Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Chander Mohan Gupta, Surinder Sharma, Munish Sharma, Sanjay Baru JMC Corporators Sat Pal Grover, Priya Sethi, Sureshtra Jamwal, Arun Khanna, Gulshan Mahajan and Omi Khajuria, Dr. Mohan Lal, Pawan Pandoh, Arvind Sharma and Munish Khajuria were among those prominent at these inaugural functions.
