| Manhas against making impractical promises | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 18: Addressing several election meetings in block Dansal of Nagrota constituency B.S Manhas an independent candidate for the coming elections said, that he would not come with any such promises that would turn out to be impractical for implementation. He said, promises made by the earlier elected representatives of the area with the people have not been ful-filled till date, but secure vote just to gain power. He said that instead he will frame policies and programmes for different categories after hearing their problems. His focus is to improve the living status of all the sections and other backward classes of the all three blocks of the constituency and to make constituency a developed constituency in the next six years. Manhas further said “ The constituency is endowed with water resources in the shape of three main rivers namely Chenab Tawi and Jajhar. The proper utilization of this resource shall ensure social economic development of the constituency in terms of potable drinking water, water for irrigation and even electricity crisis to some extent. Those who were present and spoke on the occasion include Hem Raj Verma, Mohd. Sadiq, Baldev Raj, Swarn Singh, Pawan Dev Singh, Darshan Lal, Jagdish Raj, Asha Ram, Tarsem Lal, Balwant Singh, Pt. Madan Lal, Ajay Sharma, Muneer and Vijay Singh. |
