| 117 candidates in fray for Baramulla district | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Nov 18: Against a total of 124 candidates who filed their nominations for seven constituencies of Baramulla district, 117 candidates were left in fray after scrutiny was conducted today. Seven forms were rejected after proper verification. Two forms from Sangrama constituency, four from Baramulla constituency and one from Gulmarg constituency were rejected.
Meanwhile, from Gulmarg Assembly constituency, two candidates who had filed their nominations as candidates from J&K National United Front and All India Forward Block could not produce A & B forms with their nomination forms and as such were declared as Independent candidates by the concerned Returning Officer. |
