EARLY TIMES REPORT UDHAMPUR, Nov18: On the last day of filing of nomination papers by the candidates in three Assembly constituencies of Udhampur, Chenani and Ramnagar in Udhampur district, as many as 31 candidates filed their nominations today taking the total tally to 49 as 28 have already filed nomination papers. For Udhampur Assembly constituency, 11 candidates filed their nominations on the last day. They include Pawan Gupta of BJP, Balwant Singh Mankotia of JKNPP, Sukh Dev Sharma of PDP, Surinder Singh of JSM-P, Shoukat Ali of LJSP, Amar Chand of Bhartiya Bahujan Party, Krishan Dass of National Bahujan Party and Hem Raj Balotra of Bhartiya Chetna & Vikas Party while as Randhir Singh, Yogeshwar Gupta and Anil Khajuria, all independents. Likewise, in Chenani constituency, nine candidates filed their nominations today which include Lal Chand of National Conference, Krishan Chander of INC, Dina Nath of BJP, Romesh Chander of NCP, Krishan Lal of LJSP, Bodh Raj of National Bahujan Party and Naresh Kumar of BJP (covering candidate) while as Sansar Chand and Sanjeet Kumar, both independents. Similarly, 11 candidates filed their nomination papers in Ramnagar Assembly constituency today namely Vinod Khajuria of Bahujan Samaj Party, Rakesh Antal of BJP, Jagdish Singh of NC, Surat Singh Sumbaria of JSM-P, Sanju Bhagat of LJSP, Mansa Ram of National Bahujan Party, Suram Chand of Samajwadi Party and covering candidates Mohan Lal for BJP, Monica Sharma for BSP and Mohammad Amin for NC. Mr. R. S. Pathania, Independent candidate, also filed his nomination papers for Ramnagar assembly constituency. Prior to it, 23 candidates had filed their nomination papers in district Udhampur. |
