| Voters slapped on separatists: Chaman | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 18: Expressing great satisfaction over the unprecedented poll percentage during the first phase of the polling to the state assembly, senior BJP leader Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has said it clearly indicates that people are in favour of change and whenever change comes the polling percentage always increases. It is clear reflection of the trend of anti establishment and the masses wants to see BJP in power, he observed. Addressing media persons here today, Prof Gupta said that present voting pattern was against the Congress, PDP and NC who ruled this state and demanded a white-paper on spendings of the Rs.84,000 crore given to the state for its development as BJP apprehends misuse of these huge funds. Condemning Mufti Sayed for defaming Governor’s House and making false allegations, the BJP leader said that Mufti and PDP do not have any election agenda and are now making such allegations. Appealing the public to vote for BJP, Prof Gupta said that massive turn out of the electorate is a slap on the ideas and propaganda of those elements who have tried to boycott elections. Even the polling trends show the frustration of the political parties like Congress, NC and PDP who were demanding postponement of elections, he remarked. . Prof. Gupta further stated that BJP has the potential to form government and held Congress, NC and PDP responsible for the growing miseries of the people. BJP State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora and senior leader Mohan Singh Chouhan were also present in the press conference. |
