| Semis line-up drawn in inter-college basketball | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 18: Semifinals line-up has been drawn in the inter-college basketball competition organized by Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu at Gymnasium Hall of the University here today.
Now, in the semi-finals, to be played tomorrow morning, PG Departments shall take on Trikuta Degree College while Government MAM College shall meet Degree College Kathua.
Earlier, Trikuta Degree College got walkover Law School while PG Departments defeated Government MAM (Evening) College 35-20 (ht-16-09). Akshay and Varinder were top scorers from PG Departments while Irshad contributed 13 points to MAM College score.
In another quarterfinal, Degree College Kathua trounced Government SPMR College of Commerce 26-17 with Munish being the highest scorer from winning team. Sanjeev scored eight points for Commerce College.
Defending champion, Government MAM College also won their quarterfinal encounter against GGM Science College beating latter 48-25. Kuldeep Choudhary mastermind MAM victory with lone contribution of 24 points. Amit made 14 points from Science College. |
