EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 19: B.S Manhas, Independent candidate from Nagrota constituency has appealed the voters to vote for change in regime and rejected the party candidates as the parties have ignored the aspect of development and betterment of people. Addressing public meetings at Village Keri, Mathwar and Jan-dial in block Bhalwal organized by the workers of the area; he said that emotional exploitation of the people for the last 60 years has pushed the constituency into most backward and undeveloped state of affair. He said to raise the socio-economic status of the people of these far-flung and rural pocket the primary need is of providing them the basic amenities like roads, school education, health services, drinking water and power supply. He called for putting an and to emotional sloganeering, stating if he will be, voted to power, it will be his prime duty to bring prosperity in the Constituency. Earlier Manhas opened election office at Agore. A large number of workers from near by villages namely Math war, Keri, handwal, Chuua, Thathi, Rajan and adjourning area were present on the occasion. Among others who spoke on the occasion were Pardeep Soodan, Thakur Rajinder Singh, Romi Khajuria, Dev Raj, Manoj Sharma, Anil Sudan, Master Krishan Lal Gupta, Thantar Singh, Satish Kumar, Pawan Dev Singh and Tarsem Lal. |
