| GGM Science College holds slogan writing, poetry competitions | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 24: On the commemoration of 75 years of India’s independence titled ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’, online events like slogan writing and poetry competitions were organized today by the NCC SW (Girls) of GGM Science College, Jammu under the patron ship of principal of the college, Dr. Ravender Tickoo and supervision of Associate NCC Officer Dr. (Capt) Anjana Sharma.
To mark National Girl Child Day 2022, the NCC cadets wrote poems and slogans for creating awareness among people about inequalities faced by girls in the country, to promote awareness about the rights of girl children and to increase awareness on the importance of female education, health, and nutrition.
When girls are educated, their countries become stronger and more prosperous. Through their poems they gave their views that it has been a long the girl child has been discriminated against and have been suffering. Now it’s time to let us get their honour back and make it a Happy National Day of the Girls Child.
The principal appreciated the ANO and the NCC cadets for the event and expressed his views by saying “Don’t let life end, before it even begins. Save Girl Child”. More than 30 girl cadets participated. |
