| NC leader joins PDP in Srinagar City | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Nov 19: Mushtaq Ahmad Teli, National Conference leader and son of Samad Teli, a close associate of late Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah who rendered immense sacrifices in plebiscite front, along with his supporters joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today in presence of PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Tariq Hamid Kara and Ghulam Qadir Pardesi. Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold Salyed said that their joining will add colours to the part activities in Srinagar district. "It is our pragmatic approach and political agenda which attracts people to our party folds. We are committed to develop the Srinagar district as we have given envisaged a comprehensive developmental plan for this historic city," Sayeed added. On this occasion, Teli said that he was motivated by the PDP's three year performance, pro- people policies and its vision for the resolution of Kashmir issue. He said that he along with his workers would work hard to disseminate the PDP agenda which encompasses a message of peace and reconciliation. Teli further remarked that it was the praiseworthy performance of the PDP which motivated him to join the PDP ranks. National Conference despite having a majority in the legislative assembly could not do what PDP did in just three years of its rule in Kashmir," the new entrant said, and added that he will try his best to work for the betterment of people in his area. |
