| Interaction programm with NSS Volunteers held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 19: NSS wing Jammu University on the occasion of National Integration day and Quami Ekta Week Celebration organized an “Interaction with NSS volunteers. The programme was attended by more than 200 NSS volunteers including faculty members, Non Teaching staff; Research Scholars were present on the occasion. Vice Chancellor Jammu University, Prof. Amitabh Matoo was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the ocassion Matoo shared his vision about the role of NSS for the upliftment of the society and wanted the NSS Volunteers and youth to work for the welfare of senior citizens and socially challenged individuals. He also emphasized that the NSS volunteers should focus their energy for the needy and down trodden people of the society. Chairman NSS, Prof. Naresh Padha, Jammu University while welcoming the volunteers and guests appreciated the NSS volunteers and youth to rise above the religion, caste, creed and region and shall provide strength to the fabric of unity and integration of the country. He also appealed to the volunteers to carry the NSS messages among the mases and put in to reality. Jasbir Singh programme coordinator briefed about the various activities being undertaken by the NSS in the Jammu division including within the University and affiliated colleges. |
